Housing Elements

The Housing Element is a state mandated component of every local governments’ plan, updated every 8 years. We are currently in Marin’s 6th Housing Element Cycle for years 2023-2031 for all San Francisco Bay Area jurisdictions. Each must plan for a set number of housing units (RHNA), certified by the state agency HCD to comply with state law.
